Lindsay Ellis was written up in the Chicago Tribune yesterday. After reading that article, I was excited about watching her videos, but after starting to watch this one, I found it more long-winded than expected. In fact, I think this has convinced me not to go to film school.
I’ve watched this engrossing, enlightening YouTube video by Tony Zhou of Every Frame a Painting, three times. He makes it clear how much more absorbing a Kurosawa film is than your average Hollywood film often due to the masterful use of movement.
